What's Stopping Our Scroll
What's stopping our scroll this week? Let's find out in our segment where we share a few social media posts that made us stop scrolling and take notice.
Hayes Air Experts: The Family Octopus
First up is a post from Hayes Air Experts, a Superpath client. In this reel, a woman discovers a framed portrait that puts her head on an octopus. That'll definitely stop your scroll.
But really, the story here is that she's earned the nickname "Family Octopus" because she's always offering a helping hand. The unusual portrait gives that nickname a pretty memorable visual.
Do you have a family octopus in your business or home? Also, good AI photo skills, Hayes Air Experts.

Half Moon Plumbing & Electric: Why Are They Called Flushable?
Next up, Half Moon Plumbing & Electric takes on a question I've wondered about forever: why are they called flushable wipes if you're not supposed to flush them?
The reel answers that question with a dry joke: getting a wipe down the toilet once doesn't mean it's going to make it through your plumbing without causing trouble.
This stopped our scroll because of how well they executed that dry humor vibe, which can be cringy if it isn't done well. And honestly, I still want to know why they're called flushable in the first place. I've never gone out of my way to Google it, so that's on my list for today.
Good stuff, Half Moon Plumbing & Electric.

HVAC Career Now: Your First Fall as an HVAC Tech
If this is your first fall as an HVAC tech, get ready for all those nonstop furnace calls. HVAC Career Now uses a Family Guy clip to turn that seasonal shift into a relatable meme for technicians heading into heating season.
This stopped our scroll because we're also looking forward to the change in weather. And honestly, it reminded me how much I used to love Family Guy. Any other fans out there?

Leveling Up
We've shared educational opportunities, webinars, and events in the past, but we're now introducing an official segment each week called Leveling Up, where we share industry resources to help those in home services build their skills.
Here are a few ways to level up yourself and your team.
Free Webinar: Are You Ready? GFCI Code Changes Are Here
On October 15th at 1 p.m. Eastern, don't miss this free webinar, "Are You Ready? GFCI Code Changes Are Here."
As of September 1st, the temporary National Electrical Code exemption for GFCI protection on listed outdoor HVAC equipment has expired. Where that provision is in effect, exterior HVAC equipment now requires GFCI protection; local code adoption and amendments determine how it applies in your area.
Join Tim Piemonte, Global Product Manager of Ground Fault Protection Relays at Littelfuse, as he covers why these requirements were added, how to explain the changes to customers, and how to choose the right GFCI solution.

In case you're new here, all Superpath clients get access to ION, our marketing dashboard that gives you significant insights into your marketing investment.
We've enhanced our backlink reporting and added brand-new features, including SEO geogrids to help you monitor your Google Business Profile visibility and AI visibility metrics to track how your business appears in AI search.
We've shared dedicated videos about these topics in our previous social posts. For a closer look right here on our website, read our overview of all three ION updates and watch the video walkthrough.
Introducing CoolQuote
We've also launched CoolQuote, Superpath's HVAC system quoting tool.
This tool lives on HVAC websites and guides homeowners through a simple set of questions to receive a ballpark quote.
It isn't designed to replace an official in-home quote. Instead, it helps better qualify leads and addresses a growing demand among homeowners for more pricing visibility before they pick up the phone.
That demand has been driven in part by more homeowners using AI search tools like ChatGPT to ask about pricing.
CoolQuote is now available at no cost to current Superpath HVAC clients.
Learn more about CoolQuote and how it helps HVAC contractors meet changing homeowner expectations.
