How does profitability look different for a home service contractor in the Florida Panhandle, the Rockies of Colorado, or rural Pennsylvania?
I'm Riley here at Superpath, and we get to work with a diverse crew of home service clients from all over the country. But that means different strategies for different places.
A Low Cost per Lead Doesn't Tell the Whole Story
Just this past week, I was having a conversation with an electrician client up in rural Pennsylvania. From my point of view, the cost per lead from their Local Service Ads looked great.
But they're having to drive an hour to an hour and a half to get to simple repair jobs. Those jobs may work in a market with a 15- or 20-minute drive time, but the longer drive really eats into profitability for this client.
Build a Strategy Around Your Market
So, we have to come up with different ideas and strategize with that client. This is why partnership is key, and why having clients from all over the country is so valuable.
We can look at first- and third-party data to figure out the next steps and present a strategy focused on what's going to be most profitable for their business.
Is that going to mean paid ads for higher-dollar jobs? Or do we need to make their service area smaller to improve profitability? It's different there, and it may be different where you are.
Look for a Partner, Not a One-Size-Fits-All Process
If you're looking for a marketing company that works with all sorts of home service contractors across the United States, and won't just give you a step-one, step-two, step-three process, give us a shout. We want to sit down, partner, and strategize with you.
My fellow account managers and I love sitting down with our clients and figuring out what's going to be most profitable for them. Ultimately, a win for you is a win for us, and we love serving home service contractors.
